Obama 'themed' stocks rise in Korea stock market

The Korea stock market is sensitive to certain stock 'theme' plays. As Obama is being elected as the new US president, stocks related to Obama promises during his presidential campaign have risen much.

Obama during his presidential campaign promised that if he is elected president of the United States, he will inject more than 15 billion USD into alternative energy related projects with alternative energy replacing 25% of the total electricity generation by 2025. On 3 November 2008, in the Korea stock market, stock prices of wind power accesseries company YHBM, 泰雄, 平山 and others have risen to their new highs. Stock prices of solar energy related industries such as Jusung, Sodiff and others have also risen to new highs.

Obama has mentioned that in order to support domestic demand economics there is the need to expand the electrical generation equipments. Stocks related to that speech such as KMW have seen a big rise in stock price. Also, reports have mentioned that Obama will support embryonic stem cell research. Stock prices of biological related companies such as Sansung, P&C, JCHOM and others have also seen a big rise.
